LG, the South Korean company, has finally released the Android Nougat update to the LG G4 handsets in its home country.

At this point in time, though, we are not entirely sure if the company is rolling out the update over-the-air (OTA) currently. What we do know is that Korean variants of the LG G4 (F500K, F500L, and F500S) have received the Android 7.0 Nougat update.

And thanks to an anonymous tipster, we have even received full Android 7.0 firmware file (.kdz) for LG G4 Korean variants F500K and F500L. The update comes as version 30C for the F500K variant and 30B for the F500L model. You can download the firmware KDZ files from the provided links below and manually flash your LG G4 handsets (Korean only).

For help installing the KDZ firmware file, refer to our step-by-step installation guide linked below:

How to Install/Flash a KDZ Firmware on LG Devices

Once the update is installed, you should be able to utilize all the Nougat goodies like the split-screen mode, improved Doze mode, revamped Settings, and much more.

With that being said, not all the Nougat features may work properly and you may find the OS a bit unstable at times owing to internal compatibility issues.

Clearly, instability is the price you have to pay to get the Android Nougat running on your LG G4 as per the company’s claims.

Alternatively, you can still continue to run the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS for a stable experience. That’s not the best thing to hear or say. But, that’s the sad truth.
